TGF Projects 2016

  • Nine teenagers (Teenz Nigeria 2016 Winners) received one year Academic Books scholarship for 2016/2017 Academic session, November 2016.
  • Teenz Global Foundation in collaboration with Bauchi American Corner of the Embassy of United States implemented its 4th Youth Workshop on the Role of ICT in Youth Development for 46 selected young leaders, Bauchi State, October 14, 2016.
  • Teenz Care guidance & counseling session on Life Skills for 73 students at Lugbe International Academy, Lugbe, Abuja, October 21, 2016.
  • Teenz Care guidance & counseling session on The Power of Thought for 18 students at Ayis Academy, Lugbe FHA, Abuja, October 21, 2016.
  • Teenz Care guidance & counseling session on Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence for 36 students at Solid Rock School, Lugbe FHA Abuja, October 14, 2016.
  • Teenz Global Foundation in collaboration with She is A Model International, Embassy of the United States and Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Association (Nigeria Chapter) organized the 2nd Edition of Every Woman is A Star Conference for 101 young females in commemoration of the International Day of Girl Child, October 11,2016.
  • Teenz Care guidance & counseling session on Self-Esteem, Self-Confidence and Mind Management for 156 students, Blessed and Precious Academy, Lugbe Abuja, October 7, 2016.
  • Teenz Global Foundation implemented a Peace education session for 73 teenagers at Lugbe International Academy Abuja in  commemoration of the International Day of Peace, September 21, 2016.
  •  Teenz Global Foundation in collaboration with Barrack Obama American Corner of the Embassy of United States implemented its 3rd  Youth Workshop on Media and Information Literacy: 21st Century Literacy Skills for 9 selected Youth Leaders in commemoration of the International Day of Literacy, Lagos State, September 8, 2016.
  • Teenz Global Foundation organized a TGF Twitter Chat on ‘Why Child Marriage’, August 28, 2016.
  • Teenz Global Foundation organized a TGF Twitter Chat on ‘Violent Extremism’ in commemoration of the International Youth Day, August 12, 2016.
  • Teenz Global Foundation in collaboration with Quadcore Technology and Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Association (Nigeria Chapter) implemented the 1st Class of Development HUB, a Leadership and Entrepreneurship Skills development programme for 8 young people, July 25 – 29, 2016
  • Teenz Global Foundation produced and broadcast a 5-minutes documentary on the Plight of Internally Displaced Children in FCT in commemoration of the International Day of the African Child, June 16, 2016.
  • Teenz Global Foundation in collaboration with WellaHealth Services and National Agency for the Control of AIDS implemented an Adolescent Health Forum for 40 Teenagers in Aflon College, Kuje Abuja, June 16, 2016.

  • Teenz Nigeria 2016 Competition on the theme ‘Culture of Peace & Values of Citizenship’ for 34 Schools, 640 teenagers, 71 teachers and 120 adult participants at the Cyprian Ekwensi Centre for Arts & Culture, Abuja; May 31, 2016.
  • Teenz Global Foundation in collaboration with Christ Embassy Abuja Zone implemented a 6-week Interactive mentoring Program tagged Power Of Your Mind Project (POMP) for 170 teenagers in GJSS Gwarinpa, Abuja, May 26 – June 30, 2016.
  • Teenz Global Foundation in collaboration with Devatop Centre for Africa Development, Cal-Maji Foundation, Book My School Initiative and Project Hope Alive implemented an FCT Book Drive for 328 Internally Displaced Children at two IDP Camps in FCT, April 28, 2016.
  • Teenz Global Foundation in collaboration with Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Association (Nigeria Chapter) and Abuja American Corner of the Embassy of United States implemented a 1-Day Youth Workshop on Social Entrepreneurship for 25 Selected Social Entrepreneurs in Abuja, FCT, April 20, 2016.

  • Teenz Global Foundation in collaboration with Schusterman Family Foundation, BEVH Touch Foundation and Vocation HUB implemented a 3-Day Hygiene Education and Jewish Learning Outreach for 929 Adolescent girls in 3 FCT Area Councils (Abaji, Gwagwalada and AMAC), November 4-7, 2015

  • Produced and broadcast a weekly 5-minutes segment on AIT Abuja, Saturdays 9am; from July 11, 2015 to August 8, 2015 on the following topics: ‘An Ideal School’, ‘Self Esteem’, and ‘Importance of Education’.
  • Teenz Nigeria 2015 Competition on the theme ‘Understanding Cultural Diversity’ for 263 teenagers and 78 adult participants in commemoration of the UN World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development at the Cyprian Ekwensi Centre for Arts & Culture, Abuja; May 21, 2015.
  • Produced and broadcast a weekly 5-minutes segment on AIT Abuja, Saturdays 9am; from April 25, 2015 to June 20, 2015 on the following topics: ‘The Internet and Teenagers’, ‘Career Choices’, ‘Choosing a Career’, ‘Understanding Cultural Diversity’, ‘Read to Pass or Read to Know’, ‘Examination Malpractice’, ‘Curbing Examination Malpractice’.

  • Teenz Care guidance & counseling session on value re-orientation for 150 teenagers of Government Secondary School Owutu-Edda, 270 teenagers of Etiti Edda Technical Secondary School, 175 teenagers of Ozem Comprehensive Secondary School, 719 teenagers of Itim Edda Secondary School, 660 teenagers of Ebunwana Edda Girls Model Secondary School and 75 teenagers of Ekeje Edda Community Secondary School in Afikpo-South LGA, Ebonyi state; November 22th - 26th 2014.
  • Five teenagers (Teenz Nigeria 2014 Winners) received one year Academic Books scholarship for 2014/2015 Academic session, October 20, 2014.
  • Live Media Chat on “Empowering adolescent girls in Nigeria” commemorating United Nations 2014 International Day of the Girl Child on Wazobia FM Abuja, 1pm; October 11, 2014.
  • Produced and broadcast a weekly 5-minutes segment on AIT Abuja, Saturdays 9am; from June 14, 2014 to January 31, 2015 on the following topics: ‘The Nigerian Child’, ‘The future of the Nigerian child’, ‘Quest for money’, ‘Needs and wants’, ‘Time Management’, ‘Teenagers and Indigenous Languages’, ‘Nigerian Language and Culture’, ‘Child Neglect’, ‘Ordeals of the teenage girl’, ‘Child labourers’, ‘Child labour and the adverse effect’, ‘Plight of teenagers from Low Income Families’, ‘Child poverty’, ‘Parent-Teen Relationship’, ‘Girl Child Education’, ‘Teenagers & Rolemodels’, ‘Impact of Teenz Tym on Teenagers’.
  • Teenz Nigeria 2014 Competition on the theme ‘Preserving the Nigerian Culture’ for 394 teenagers and 135 adult participants at the Cyprian Ekwensi Centre for Arts & Culture, Abuja; May 20, 2014.
  • Produced and broadcast a weekly 5-minutes segment on AIT Abuja, Saturdays 9am; from April 26, 2014 to June 7, 2014 on the following topics: ‘Effects of Technology on teens’, ‘Value re-orientation’, ‘Social Vices’, ‘Teenage Distractions’, ‘PREVIOUS EPISODES REPEAT’.
  • Published the 2nd edition of TGF Magazine; May 2014.
  • Produced and broadcast a weekly 5-minutes segment on AIT Abuja, Saturdays 9am; from February 1, 2014 to April 22, 2014 on the following topics: ‘Effects of Technology on teens’, ‘Secrets teens keep from Parents’, ‘Communication between parents and teenagers’, ‘The teacher at school’, ‘Early sex among adolescents’, ‘Effects of teenage sex’, ‘Teenage Pregnancy’, ‘Preventing teenage pregnancy’.
  • 1000 copies was printed and distributed in 2014 as follows: 600 copies distributed to selected teenagers, parents and teachers in FCT, 350 copies distribute in 4 schools in Lagos and 50 copies in USA.
